After 370 days of filming, on 10 October 2004, Shinsengumi is a wrap! The last scenes of Shinsengumi were finally finished after an exhausting year of filming.

During the otsukare(farewell) party, Shingo Katori was shedding tears as he hugged goodbye to his fellow actors. They, then, had a drinking party that lasted until wee hours in the morning.

It was said in TV Gekkan magazine, that Shingo Katori has secretly lost 10 kg for the filming of the last scene.
