A couple of weeks after Isami and the group arrives at Kyoto. Isami and Oyuki's first met is interesting....although perhaps, some would say, its a little bit too common or predictable. But, I would say, it is still interesting ^_^ Oyuki asked help from Isami-tachi, coz she was chased by a group of ronin. When Isami-tachi have beaten the rounin guys. Suddenly, she dissappear. Their next meet, was in an incident that involves the Choshuu clan. Then, one time...Isami meets Oyuki again at the food shop. From the way, Isami gaze at Oyuki, it is obvious that he has fallen for her. Then they were having a nice and fun chat. How surprised Isami was, when he meet her again in a geisha house. And turns out, she is a geisha dancer. Her geisha name is Miyuki Dayuu. Since then, Isami often and frequently goes to the geisha house to meet Miyuki Dayuu, but is always accompanied by Inoue Genzaburou. Isami usually drink in the geisha house, with Miyuki serving him. And he pours out his thoughts about Shinsengumi problems to Miyuki. She always been a good listener. Isami have apologized once in a while to her, coz he keep talking about Shinsengumi. But of course, Miyuki is not mind at all, its her job to always listen to his complains and thoughts and whatever stuck in his head. Isami is really grateful to her. One thing that still made Isami wonder about her, though. If she is from Osaka, what she was doing in Kyoto that time, and why was she chased by the group of rounin... Everytime Isami ask her that....she always avoiding, either she look down and quiet...or at another time, she said, it is still a secret, she will tell him when the time comes. And that indeed, suceed in making the audience also wondering about her ^_^ Last development...in episode 26, Miyuki collapse when she was dancing for Isami. He immediately rush to her, hold her asking whether she's okay, caress her face, and turns out she has a fever. Isami then commands Inoue to get her medicine as soon as possible. Miyuki is smiling weakly. In the morning, Miyuki is feeling much better and much healthier, she tell Isami that she is very happy, he actually worried and cared for her. Then, Isami ask her a favor, that is to mail a letter to Edo for him. Miyuki smile and ask Isami, "What's her name?". Apparently, Miyuki can sense the wife's existence. She put the letter inside her kimono. In Edo, Tsune just finish reading the letter, then smells woman's perfume from the letter...... Now, the 2 ladies have found out about each other........ I feel that Miyuki has such an unconditional love for Isami. She's always there for him, accompany him and listening to all his sorrows and angers. Not really expecting anything in return. And even when she knows about Tsune, she sincerely smiled and saying that she is very lucky to have a husband like Isami. While Isami, of course, is also in a difficult position. Hijikata teased him, its the very first time, Isami feels this worried about a girl. Unexpectedly....Tsune and Oyuki meets eventually....what happened then...you can read episode 34's synopsis^^ Episode 17: Isami: "What has happened?" Oyuki: "Please, help me!!" The crowds are surprised. This incident clarifies Mibu Roushigumi’s position to stand against Choushuu. The young lady is looking at the broken board, then gaze at the fierce-looked Isami with interest..... Episode 19: Isami was listening to Harada, but then suddenly Miyuki cross by the food shop and Isami can see her thru the window. He keeps gazing at her and completely ignore Harada. When Harada realized he's not listening, Harada snapped, "Oy! Are you listening?!". "Hai?!" Isami turns to Harada again. Masa: Kondou-sensei....someone likes to meet you.... (Oyuki enter the food shop and smiling to Isami) Oyuki: I want to thank you for the other day....ever since then, I keep thinking about it..... Isami: Ah....actually, me too....kinda worried.... Oyuki: I was just arrived from Osaka that day, so I was really scared...I really dont know what to do...thank goodness you're there.... Isami: Osaka? You're from Osaka? Then, what is your purpose coming to Kyoto? Oyuki: ......... (looking down and not answering) Isami: (feels uneasy, then he drinks his tea) Oyuki: (looks up again).....everyone is so strong, na? I was really surprised!! Isami: Oh, actually we learn kenjutsu back in Edo....ah, I'm sorry....I'm Isami Kondou from Shieikan in Edo...*bow*.... Oyuki: I'm Oyuki....*bow*.... Shingo-kun & Yuuka-chan Shingo Katori and Yuuka is one of the Best On-screen Couple! Actually, Shingo have a very good chemistry with Arisa Mizuki(TBS 1997's Ichiban Taisetsu na Hito) and Takako Uehara of SPEED(NTV 1999's Yomigaeru Kinro/The Wolf), too. But, I simply like him with Yuuka the best, because they have chemistry off-drama, too!!^.^ First of all, interesting bit is that in, March 2000, all Shingo fans would know that he had a little crush on Yuuka. Coz he say so in Utaban...that he likes Yuuka, she's his type. Shingo also idolize Naoko Iijima very much....but by that time, when Nakai asked him, what happen if you find Naoko and Yuuka are jogging together and they ask you to accompany them...then suddenly, they go to different paths...which one will you follow? An episode in April 2000. The special guest was Naoko Iijima(the female lead in Messengers). In the variety show, Iijima stated, "I was a bit shocked, that time, on TV, Shingo-kun said that he likes Yuuka-chan now,". Haha! And cute, cute Shingo looks really shy, smiling looking down saying with a small voice, "Yuuka..tte...dare....(who is Yuuka?)". *lol* Shingo hidooooi!!!! Hehe, but anyway, Shingo is always look shy in front of Naoko Iijima...very cute!^.^ In November 20th, 2000 episode of SMAP's variety show, SmapXSmap(SxS). Yuuka is the Bistro SMAP guest! Bistro SMAP is a cooking segment in SxS, where SMAP divided to 2 cooking teams, and later the guest will decided which team has the best cooks. And most of the female guests will give a kiss on the winning team's cheeks!^_^ The pairing teams were Takuya Kimura-Shingo's team and Goro Inagaki-Tsuyoshi Kusanagi's team. While waiting for both teams cooking the foods, Masahiro Nakai as the MC would talk with Yuuka about her career and all. Then, later will go down to bring the guest to talk with the chefs. While Nakai and Yuuka talked with Tsuyoshi-Goro team, Nakai noted that Shingo is standing aside and listening to them, "Why are you here? Go away. You're disturbing us!". Then Nakai asked Yuuka to choose them for SMAP Feeling Five: "Who would you choose as older brother?", "Kimura-san!". "Who would you choose as bestfriend?", "Nakai-san!". "Who would you choose as boyfriend?", ".......Katori-san!". And Shingo wa? Haha, weird actions, that I dont quite understand, but made me laugh really hard!! Also made Yuuka, Kimura and the others laughed! Then, Shingo said, "Halfway there...!" ........aree?....^^; Nakai asked Yuuka why Shingo should be her boyfriend, she said because it seems alot of fun to be with him!^^(I agree!) Then, the last question was, "Who would you choose as husband?", "Kusanagi-san!". So, that makes Goro as the 2nd cousin^^ In 2001, Shingo and Yuuka acted as a couple in TBS' drama, Love Story. However, they were only supporting roles, not the main couple. But, I find their love story is much more interesting than the main couple's love story!^_~ Kyoji Nabetomo(Shingo) is a DJ in night clubs and quite a playboy, he has so many fans from the night clubs, his dream is to be a professional illustrator. But, one day, a countryside girl who just came to Tokyo, Kanno(Yuuka), who fell in love with Nabetomo, changed him. At first, Nabetomo dont have any interest at all in Kanno, but gradually grow feelings for her. Really, they are such a cute couple in the drama, and have great chemistry together!!^_^ Yuuka, once again, became a Bistro guest in 2002. But not much of a happening in this episode^^ When Yuuka is talking to Shingo chef, Shingo just said that he has watched her latest musical movie, Koi ni Utaeba, and he said its, "Omoshiroi!(interesting)". Yuuka tell him, "Wahh...ureshii(I'm happy you watched)....can you talk it out more?". Shingo dont know what to say, then once again said, "Omoshiroi, omoshiroi!". haha!! Actually, if I was asked about the musical movie, I also have nothing to say than omoshiroi ^_^ I was hoping that Shingo and Yuuka would act together again, but never thought they would act together again as an -Edo period- couple x) Hopefully, they will have a good romance plot and will have a great chemistry again in Shinsengumi!, just like in Love Story^^ Go to... Isami: Remember the girl we saved from the group of ronin..? Inoue: Yes, yes...why...what's with her? (Isami and Miyuki both smiling, then Inoue realized) Inoue: heeeeeh??? Miyuki: (to Isami) But please, dont tell anyone about this yet....its a secret... Isami: Alright, but I keep wondering...what did you do in Kyoto, that time? Miyuki: About that....please, wait a little more...I will tell you when the time comes....
Episode 26: Miyuki Dayuu is dancing for Isami, when she suddenly collapse. Isami immediately rush to her and hold her, "Are you alright?". Miyuki answered weakly, "I'm sorry...I'm just a little tired,". Isami caress her face, Miyuki is a bit surprised, then Isami said to Inoue, "She has a fever,". "I'll call a doctor!" Inoue rush outside. Miyuki and Isami gaze at each other, while he still holds her, so their faces are very close. She smiles, then close her eyes.
In the morning, Isami just finished writing a letter and the doctor tells Isami, that Miyuki Dayuu is already up. He meets her outside. Isami: Are you feeling better? Miyuki: Yes, no need to worry....I was just too tired... Isami: Ah, if you will...please, take this...just in case...(he gives her a medicine)... Miyuki: (looks happy) Thank you so much........I'm really flattered that Kondou-sensei is this worried about me...I'm sorry, to trouble you.... Isami: ah, no... oh, right...actually I just wrote a letter to Edo... Miyuki: Do you want me to mail it? Isami: Onegaishimasu....(please) Miyuki: (smile and nods, then she put the letter inside her kimono) Is it for your wife? Isami: *startled*.....yes... Miyuki: What's her name? Isami: Tsune... Miyuki: (smiling) Tsune-san is very lucky to have a husband like you.... Isami: Not really.....
Episode 34: Isami: He runaway with a woman, is what I'm most surprised at.....but I understand very much....he has finally found something sincere.....that's why he did it... Miyuki: I think so, too...*coughs*....sumimasen.... Isami: Dont force yourself too much... Miyuki: Pls, dont worry... Isami: How about going to Kyoto? You feel tired right? Just take a rest, take good care of your body's health...... Miyuki: *smiling* you dont have to say -no good- things......afterall, I cant move from Osaka...I have work here.... Isami: Actually.....I'm talking about that.... Miyuki: .....?? Isami: I'll buy you freedom..... Miyuki is surprised, but then smiled.
Episode 35: Oyuki: I refuse.....*bows*.... Isami: But they said, they'd like to meet you...... Oyuki: I cant.....when I was Miyuki Dayuu, I can accompany everyone, since its my job. But now, Oyuki is sensei's only.....my obligation is to accompany you only......if I do as you say, how would I be responsible to Tsune-san? I'm really sorry..... Isami: I understand..... Oyuki: I'm sorry, to say nonsense things..... Isami: Then....in replace of that, please tell me one thing.... Oyuki: hai.... Isami: The first time we met in Kyoto, what were you doing? Oyuki: ....*smiles*...... Isami: Dont you think, its time for you to tell the truth? Oyuki: I was looking for someone......my twin sister.....we were separated since 15 years of age....we were brought by different masters, I was brought to Osaka, while she was brought to Kyoto. From a customer, I heard, he met someone resembles me in Kyoto, and he told me the place.....so I try to find her.... By that time, I still cant tell you, I'm sorry.... Isami: So have you find her? Oyuki: ....*shake her head*.... Isami: Then I will ask my men to look for your sister.... Oyuki: Please, dont!(yamete kudasai!) Isami: Shinsengumi's spies, can fastly find out things.... Oyuki: But their job is not to work for me! Isami: They wont find her, for your sake...but for me! Oyuki: ................ Isami: Now....what's your sister's name? Oyuki: .........its Kou.....
Shingo-kun & Yuuka-chan
Shingo Katori and Yuuka is one of the Best On-screen Couple! Actually, Shingo have a very good chemistry with Arisa Mizuki(TBS 1997's Ichiban Taisetsu na Hito) and Takako Uehara of SPEED(NTV 1999's Yomigaeru Kinro/The Wolf), too. But, I simply like him with Yuuka the best, because they have chemistry off-drama, too!!^.^
First of all, interesting bit is that in, March 2000, all Shingo fans would know that he had a little crush on Yuuka. Coz he say so in Utaban...that he likes Yuuka, she's his type. Shingo also idolize Naoko Iijima very much....but by that time, when Nakai asked him, what happen if you find Naoko and Yuuka are jogging together and they ask you to accompany them...then suddenly, they go to different paths...which one will you follow? Naoko or Yuuka? Shingo think for quite a minute, and also smiling embarrassly, but then he answered, "For now, sumimasen...its gotta be Yuuka!" ^_^
In Shingo's solo variety, Tensei Shingo, Yuuka is mentioned again. An episode in April 2000. The special guest was Naoko Iijima(the female lead in Messengers). In the variety show, Iijima stated, "I was a bit shocked, that time, on TV, Shingo-kun said that he likes Yuuka-chan now,". Haha! And cute, cute Shingo looks really shy, smiling looking down saying with a small voice, "Yuuka..tte...dare....(who is Yuuka?)". *lol* Shingo hidooooi!!!! Hehe, but anyway, Shingo is always look shy in front of Naoko Iijima...very cute!^.^
In November 20th, 2000 episode of SMAP's variety show, SmapXSmap(SxS). Yuuka is the Bistro SMAP guest! Bistro SMAP is a cooking segment in SxS, where SMAP divided to 2 cooking teams, and later the guest will decided which team has the best cooks. And most of the female guests will give a kiss on the winning team's cheeks!^_^ The pairing teams were Takuya Kimura-Shingo's team and Goro Inagaki-Tsuyoshi Kusanagi's team. While waiting for both teams cooking the foods, Masahiro Nakai as the MC would talk with Yuuka about her career and all. Then, later will go down to bring the guest to talk with the chefs. While Nakai and Yuuka talked with Tsuyoshi-Goro team, Nakai noted that Shingo is standing aside and listening to them, "Why are you here? Go away. You're disturbing us!". Shingo said, "Cant I just have a look?!". ^_^;;
Later, after the chefs finished the dishes, its time for Yuuka to taste the dishes. While eating, Nakai asked Yuuka, "What kind of person you like?". She answered, "With beautiful eyes and teeth,". So Shingo opened his eyes wide and showed his beautiful and white teeth!*LOL* "Also the one that look natural,". Shingo put off his chef hat. "But should be tidy." So Shingo tried to comb his hair properly. Haha, Shingo.....you're so cute!! And Yuuka really had a good laugh seeing Shingo's funny acts^^
Yuuka decided the winners are Kimura-Shingo team. So Kimura and Shingo got a kiss on the cheek from Yuuka!^.^ Shingo looks really excited!
Then Nakai asked Yuuka to choose them for SMAP Feeling Five: "Who would you choose as older brother?", "Kimura-san!". "Who would you choose as bestfriend?", "Nakai-san!". "Who would you choose as boyfriend?", ".......Katori-san!". And Shingo wa? Haha, weird actions, that I dont quite understand, but made me laugh really hard!! Also made Yuuka, Kimura and the others laughed! Then, Shingo said, "Halfway there...!" ........aree?....^^; Nakai asked Yuuka why Shingo should be her boyfriend, she said because it seems alot of fun to be with him!^^(I agree!)
Then, the last question was, "Who would you choose as husband?", "Kusanagi-san!". So, that makes Goro as the 2nd cousin^^
Yuuka, once again, became a Bistro guest in 2002. But not much of a happening in this episode^^ When Yuuka is talking to Shingo chef, Shingo just said that he has watched her latest musical movie, Koi ni Utaeba, and he said its, "Omoshiroi!(interesting)". Yuuka tell him, "Wahh...ureshii(I'm happy you watched)....can you talk it out more?". Shingo dont know what to say, then once again said, "Omoshiroi, omoshiroi!". haha!! Actually, if I was asked about the musical movie, I also have nothing to say than omoshiroi ^_^
I was hoping that Shingo and Yuuka would act together again, but never thought they would act together again as an -Edo period- couple x) Hopefully, they will have a good romance plot and will have a great chemistry again in Shinsengumi!, just like in Love Story^^
