(Background Music playing: Makoto no Yuujou[True Friendship]) <bgsound src="makoto_yuujou.mp3" loop="infinite"> I have sensed that Hide will be Okita's love interest ever since I read the serial's book.....the actress who acted Hide is just the same age with Tatsuya Fujiwara^^ So I think its a mix-and-match situation ^_^ Well...actually, it suppose to be the other way around....Okita is Hide's love interest...and that's what I meant with 'unrequited love'. Up to episode 18, I thought it would never happen...coz it seems Hide and Okita see each other only as bestfriends....not to mention, what Okita know is that Hide is a man x) But, in episode 18, when Okita had a crush on Oume...it is obviously showed that Hide is upset and jealous^^ Poor Hide....coz Okita dont return her feelings....and he always together with Oume, most of the time..... So, she usually pours out her worries to Toudou, and Toudou always suceed in cheering her up. Toudou really cares about Hide...althou I'm not sure, as a friend or as a...more than that...^^;; Its really an interesting case, if Toudou falls for Hide too....coz Toudou and Okita are bestfriends.....but we dont know that yet ^_^ Anyway.....it is 'unrequited love', that's what I see.....until the 26th episode....apparently, few months after Serizawa and Oume are killed....there's a development in Okita and Hide's relationship ^_^ Episode 15 : Meanwhile, Hide feels really uneasy, have to hang out with Nagakura, Okita and Harada who are half-naked, coz they're taking a bath. Okita is asking Hide, why wont she take a bath too. Hide, of course, refuse. "Ahh....then let me teach you how to hold a katana sword!", Okita then embrace her from behind, hold her both hands and telling her the right way to hold the sword. Hide feels really, really uneasy now....and very nervous too ^-^ (note -> this is when Hide's feelings starts to grow for Okita, I believe...^^) Episode 18 : -Okita is sniffing on Hide, "Hontou daa.....how come you smell so good?? You smell just like a woman! .....like ane-ue[older sister]'s smell.....*giggles*....ane-ue!!" Okita hugs Hide. -Meanwhile, Okita is still in a blue mood. "Sou ka....Serizawa-san is together with Oume-san...?" Hide ask. "I dont understand women..." Okita complain. While Hide, turns to another direction, and smiling happily. Episode 19 : By the end of the episode, Yagi Gennojou tells Isami, Hijikata and Okita that he actually has a daughter. Isami is asking, "Then, where is she all this time?". "She is actually here, has always been here." Hide comes out in a woman kimono dress, her hairstyle is also a woman hairstyle. The three men are shocked....and Okita dont know what to say, "Hide-san........". Episode 20 : Most of Miburoushigumi members are going to Osaka. But, Yamanami, Toudou, Okita and Saitou stays in Yagi household to take in people who want to join Miburoushigumi. Hide is also there, together with the 4 men. Suddenly, Oume ask Okita to accompany her out for a moment. Okita happily, of course, said yes and follow her. Hide is quite upset. Apparently, the guys knows Hide's crush on Okita, to cheer her up, Yamanami says, "Its really alright....Oume thinks of Okita as a boy,". "But what about Okita-san?" Hide ask. Saitou answered, "That boy obviously think of her as a woman,". "Deshou, deshou?" Hide upsetly seat. Yamanami smiles, "What do you like, from Okita?". Hide then embarrasly smile and blushing. Episode 21 : Hide and Toudou are knitting Shinsengumi flag(which written 'makoto' on it) together. Hide was just thinking whether Okita is okay or not. Toudou said she dont have to worry, Yamanami and Nagakura are together with him. Hide: Lately, Okita-san has been avoiding me.... Toudou: That's not true... Hide: Its true! When I disguised as Hidejiro, Okita-san spend most of his times with me....but now.... Toudou: That's because now he knows you're a woman....he always feels uneasy around women.... Hide: But he goes out alot with Oume-san?! Toudou: Okh...that's just because Oume-san who always approach him... Hide: ...yes, but.... Toudou: You care about him that much, dont you? Hide is about to leave...but then she goes back, and hands Okita an 'omamori'(amulet)..."So you'll be always safe, please take it..." Okita: ah, I'm sorry...I dont believe in those things....please, anyone...just take it... Looking very upset, Hide snapped, "What's wrong with you?! One of these days, you have to learn to concern about people's feelings!!!". She looks back and give the amulet to Shimada, "Please, take it!". Then she walks off. "What's a matter with her?" Okita mumbles. Toudou said, "You should consider her feelings," Episode 24 : Okita and Hide passing by each other...but they just said an awkward 'ohayo' to each other. Seeing Hide looked sad....Toudou ask her to go with him to the market, where there's a funny talking bird. Hide smiles, "Heisuke-san....yasashii(nice/kind) desune....". Then, they go together.... Episode 26 : -Seven months have passed, since Serizawa and Oume are killed. Apparently, Okita and Hide are now in good and close terms.... "hai, doozo!" Hide serve onigiri to Okita. Okita eats it, there crummies left on his cheeks. Hide giggles and take it off with her finger and tell Okita to eat it from her finger....Okita looks away, embarrassed. Hide keep giggling, "Its alright, come on...aaa..". Then, Okita do so. Toudou see them smiling, then he also put crummies on his face. Then turns to Hide...but Hide just smile to Toudou ^_^;; -Its sunset, Okita and Hide are seating on top of temple's stairs alone.....just the two of 'em.... Hide: There's something I've always think about...... Okita: What is it? Hide: Do you know that Serizawa-san is gonna be killed that time? Are you involved? Okita: *hesitates*.... Hide: Please, tell me the truth..... Okita: No way....that time, it was just a premonition! I sense these things... Hide: Premonition? Okita: ahh, come on....! Hide: I wont see Okita-san anymore.....I have decided....by the time Shinsengumi walks out the Mibu village....me and Okita-san is also over. Okita: Why? Hide: Just like Okita-san said....jibun ni wakama o natte..... Okita: Fine....then as you wish.....*Hide looked surprise*.....what?......*Hide keeps staring at him*......ii yo........ Hide: ...................I actually would like to be by your side forever............ Okita: sou da ne.....but I think its the best thing to do..... Hide: dont say that!
